Leciel or Halpha Environmental Testing Zone Survey is a quest that is randomized per day and the location of the player buffs are randomized per run. The time limit you have will depend on how many players are in the run, with 10 minutes being the max you get when you go in alone.
First of all, check the boss and buff details. Boss details are available on the right side of the screen. You can see who is the boss and what modifiers it has. On the left side, you have a list of the player boosts with markers. From 1 to 5 and a special one with a ⭐. It’s very important to understand the combination of these two pieces of information as that lets you know what the game is asking from you. Some days, it’s PA/Techs that will be super boosted, others, it’s the Normal Attack. Usually, the best boosts to get first is 1 and ⭐, but this may not always be the case. Taking advantages of these buffs is key to success in Leciel.
As soon as Leciel starts, you will be able to see the map on the top left side of the screen. This displays how to get to each room and where each player buff is located. You may also get a notification on the center of the screen that Aberrant Starless enemies encountered during the quest have certain boosts that you should be careful of, usually triggered when they hit you.
Orangish-red dotted lines around one of the rooms in the map mean that the room inside is a trap room. These can be rooms with bombs, tornadoes, or another special gimmick which lock you inside as soon as one person crosses into it. The walls can be taken down but are quite tanky, so it’s recommended to instead focus on clearing the room which would also open the walls.
Leciel Exploration Quest can end if all Life Points(LP, Incapacitations) are gone, which are shared between all players in the room. The amount of LP you start with is the max number of players + 4. So full 8 player room would start with 12 LP while a solo run would only have 5 LP.
There’s 3 types of challenges you can encounter during a Leciel run: Defeat all enemies, Press the 3 Pole Switches, and Destroy the Containers.
Defeat all enemies rooms can vary in layout. Some will ask you to simply fight enemies as you would normally do while others may have a small maze to find enemies or ask you use level gimmicks to defeat enemies with a lot of HP.
Press 3 Pole Switches rooms have 2 switches that are hidden in the room and 1 that is easier to find but blocked by a barrier. Getting close to the barrier triggers an Abhorrent Starless and a different type of enemy to show up. Defeating them removes the barrier.
Destroy the Containers are puzzle rooms that use switches. The puzzles can be things as simple as pressing buttons in order, counting TAMES, or even something like a nonogram (picross). Solving the puzzle removes the barrier and lets you destroy the containers.
At halftime or when a certain number of rooms is cleared, a trial will happen. This can be either a Thunderstorm Gigantix or a Giruva Diversion trial.
On the Gigantix trial, a Malevolent enemy will appear in one of the already cleared rooms. While it’s active, a thunderstorm will hit the whole map. Defeating the Gigantix gives you a level up for the ⭐ boost.
On the Giruva trial, a DOLLS enemy known as Giruva will appear and randomly target one of the players through the whole map. Your objective is to evade Giruva, find and destroy the Giruva Cores, and then use the Repulsor Wedge to defeat the Giruva. This is the only way to defeat Giruva and level up the ⭐ boost.
The final boss can sometimes have one of two special types of modifiers. One is the Bomlode, which is an implanted bomb on the enemy that gets activated when the boss is down. It’s usually important to destroy the bomb before the boss’s down is over, otherwise, it will explode and cause major damage to all players. When the boss also has a modifier that boosts its damage, then the explosion will very likely cause several players to incapacitate. On these specific cases, the bomb should be the priority target. When the bomb is destroyed, it will cause major damage to the boss instead.
The second special modifier is the Growzard. This one is available to be hit as soon as the battle starts. The longer the Growzard is on the boss, the stronger the boss will get. At 1 minute, a Growzard makes it so the boss attacks are boosted by +900%, making it very likely to kill players in one shot. When the Growzard is destroyed, though, the boss is weakened and players can inflict boosted damage on it. The Growzard keeps respawning through the battle and you can hear a sound whenever it respawns or increases stats of the boss. The table below shows the time needed for a Growzard to level up a boss.

The reward you get at the end of the quest depend on how much HP of the boss is taken down. The thresholds are 25%, 50%, 75%, and defeating the boss.
With this information at hand, you should now be able to understand the basics of running Leciel. Each set of buffs does require a specific strategy which will be mentioned in the next Leciel guide.
